Its been quite the past 24 hours for the upcoming Han Solo spinoff film.
First, with its cast all set, directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller left the project. The perennial kings of film comedy cited reasons as “creative differences,” even though they hate that term.
In a statement released by the duo, they did not seem to harbor any ill will towards the production team or cast.
Hours after this development took place, the rumor wagon came pulling in, as Disney announced yesterday evening that Ron Howard may be the top choice for the directors spot on the film. Neither Howard nor Disney has yet provided comment on this development, but we will keep you posted as news progresses.
The cast remains unchanged and the film still holds its May 2018 release date.
